Negi-sensei!~

Playing around with .png but still haven’t found an optimal res/filesize ratio yet. But in this day an age, who actually cares about filesize for these things?
I recently read all of Negima to current in a week so I thought it would be fun to do a Negima doujinshi. I asked Ershin what he wanted to do and out of the ones he was interested in, this was the only one that was un-translated. So he went to translate it, then I realized all the text bubbles were transparent. FFFFFFFFFFF. I was, though, a huge fan of the way the scans looked when I got them so I didn’t do much in the way of color-correction. Just cleaned and re-drew where needed.
I’m not really a fan of shota, rather the girls in the series, but this one was pretty awesome imo.
So have at it, I suppose. Up next, maybe EdXWin 4 and 5 if those haven’t been done yet.
My name is Phantom Renegade, and on behalf Trinity Translations Team I salute you. This one had been on our To-Do list for a very long time, and even if our Cleaner was looking forward doing it (both for the Challenge and he because he likes it), it’s good to know it was Translated.
Ah sorry, didn’t intend to snipe anyone. Now that I see your page I would like to also salute you for all the awesome Negima doujinshi on it
Thanks! it’s a really good doujinshi.
I actually can not see a difference in jpg and png.
@Nikon.
No prob. These things hppen.
@David
PNG tends to not degrade the color of images after saving. While JPEG start to deteriorate everytime you modify them.
That is, of course, considering the PPI (pixels per whatever) of the file. Large enough JPEG won’t degrade ever.
Lovely. Many thanx Nikon.
Hey, that’s peworufl. Thanks for the news.
I really like the first two EdXWin doujinshis, so I am looking forward to your translations of 4 and 5, though I have to ask: What about 3? I only could finde translations for 1 and 2.
Damn, I am an idiot. Part 3 was actually done by you. orz
Looking forward to 4 and 5 then.
My appologies for waiting so long since it came out to ask this, but could you tell what program was used to clean this?
Neko Arc, Cleaner over at Trinity Translations.
Neko Arc, I just use Photoshop. CS5 in this case.
Also, no current plans for EdXWin 4+5 until I find someone who’s interested in translating it.
(After doing a bit of research.)
Does CS5 really have a function that helps bridge the gaps caused by eliminating kanji/kana?
If so; I’ll either need to look deeper into the program I have, or look into getting another program!
It’s mostly just being creative with covering with your English text and then re-drawing/erasing around that.
I can’t wait to read EdxWin 4 translated… it’s been out for such a long time and so far no translated version availabe! FMA EdxWin fans are anxious.
Keep up the good work***
When will you be putting up some new stuff? I love your work!
^wondering the same thing. When will you release some new shit?
